Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The main document must be uploaded in Portable Document Format (PDF), and the complete file containing the .tex files, figures and additional material must also be added.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The .tex JDSC template is used, The text is single-spaced; unmodified font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

 

1. Manuscript Structure

Structure for a JDSC paper:

  • Title Page: Includes the title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details, and keywords.
  • Abstract: A concise study summary (usually 150–250 words).
  • Keywords: 3–6 relevant terms to aid indexing.
  • Introduction: Provides background information, research objectives, and the significance of the study.
  • Methods: Describes the experimental setup, data collection, and analysis techniques.
  • Results: Presents findings, often supported by figures and tables.
  • Discussion: Interprets results, compares with existing literature, and discusses limitations.
  • Conclusion: Summarizes key findings and potential future directions.
  • References: Cited works formatted according to the journal’s required style.

2. Formatting Requirements

  • File Format: LaTeX, or PDF formats, from the given Template.
  • Font & Spacing: As defined in the template.
  • Figures & Tables: Should be numbered consecutively and accompanied by captions. High-resolution images (300 dpi) are often required.
  • Equations & Symbols: Use LaTeX for mathematical expressions if submitting in LaTeX format.

3. Ethical Considerations

  • Originality & Plagiarism: The manuscript must be original and not under review elsewhere. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  • Authorship Criteria: All listed authors should have contributed significantly to the research.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.
  • Data Availability: If possible, add data-sharing statements or supplementary files.

4. Peer Review Process

  • Double-blind Review: this journal anonymize author/reviewer identities.
  • Revisions: After peer review, authors may need to revise the manuscript and provide a response letter addressing reviewer comments.
  • Publication Fees: If it is defined, an Article Processing Charge (APC) could be applied.

5. Submission Process

  • Use online submission system (JDSC).
  • Authors should follow the submission checklist to ensure all required documents (cover letter, figures, supplementary material) are included.
  • A cover letter is often required, summarizing the study's significance and suitability for the journal.
